The SU app's registration screen had no value proposition, any explanation of what the app did, or why you should sign up. Post-registration, there were no instructions on how to use the app or what to do at that point.
In the registration screen, I created a slideshow experience where photography and text would fade in an out and walk the user through the benefits of using StumbleUpon. The idea was for the introduction to play out like a movie, while the sign up buttons remained persistent at the bottom and our promoted sign up options would float up at the end, to further emphasize the next step.

After registering, the app would take you through a first time user experience flow through timed coachmarks, pointing out how to stumble through pages and what you can do with the content you discover.
